No Netflix and Chill

Some moms might be comfortable bringing a guy home after a great date as long as the kids are sleeping, but that has never been okay for me. I’ve seen enough rom-coms to know how that story ends. The kids could wake up at any time and discover there’s a stranger in the house, or worse. I want the girls to know our house belongs to us. Having random guys over while they’re asleep would kind of feel disrespectful to them. Our home is their safe space, where they should always feel secure and know what to expect. Besides, it’s not the example I want to set for my daughters, and I’d like to be the kind of mom who practices what I preach to them.
